Elmira Unseen Tour
Explore Elmira with a new twist! On this guided bus tour of Elmira you’ll discover some of the scandalous secrets of the city’s past, plus visit three of Elmira’s art and history gems where you’ll compete for ultimate bragging rights and interact with the exhibits in a new way. If that’s not enough, you’ll get free snacks, swag, and a post-tour drink at Finger Lakes House to quench your thirst!
So, what does that actually mean? We’re glad you asked!
First, we’ll all meet at the Chemung County Historical Society (CCHS) for registration, free swag, snacks, and a quick icebreaker game. We’ve got to get to know each other if we’re going to spend two hours competing against each other for ultimate bragging rights, right?
Second, we’ll start our “official” tour at CCHS with a crazy game that may or may not have to do with an explosion. Then we’re off to our next destination!
On the bus in between each destination you’ll learn some crazy history about Elmira from your over-enthusiastic tour guide!
We’ll visit two more organizations, the Arnot Art Museum and Community Arts of Elmira and each location will tell you a bit about themselves before launching you into a new interactive game that will have you seeing art in a new way. Don’t let your guard down though, we’ll be competing the whole time!
Finally, we’ll end at the Finger Lakes House where you will get a free drink on us! If you don’t want to stay for a drink the bus will take you back to CCHS. If you do stay for a drink, the bus will take us back to CCHS and your cars at 5pm, but if you want to head out sooner or stay later it’s just a short walk back to the CCHS parking lot.
