
Business of Art addresses the practical needs of artists and not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations. Check out our workshop series to learn about project management, taking great photos of your work, selling your work, cultivating the right mindset, managing small business finances, marketing yourself, and more!
Cost is $10 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

Arts and Presentation: The Hows and Whys of Professional Presentation for New Artists

This beginners workshop is for artists who are starting to show off their art and want to learn more about taking images of their work. Whether it is for websites and social media, or for prints and portfolio reviews, a good photo can make all the difference. This workshop will focus on the best kinds of photos for your situation, learning about taking your own photos, making copies of your work. (And maybe when to call a professional photographer instead!) Laura will talk about different levels of equipment needed depending on your need and resources available to you when it comes to getting good images, no matter where you need to present your work.

Business of Art: The Wowie Zowie Art of the Sale, 5-session Workshop
The following five workshops will be presented by Bettsie Park, owner of 15-steps in Ithaca, NY. Bettsie will be presenting on the art of the sale and the steps you need to take before you’re ready to make the sale. Each workshop will be a combination of lecture, conversation, Q&A, hands-on, and at-home exercises.
