Emergency Arts Fund

The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes has established an Emergency Arts Fund to support artists during the COVID-19 crisis. Numerous cancelled exhibitions, performances, and in-person opportunities, as well as the closure of galleries and cultural centers have resulted in a total loss of income for many artists in our region.

The ARTS Council will use this funding to support a two-pronged approach to directly supporting artists during the COVID-19 crisis:

  1. A stream of paid online artist opportunities will be created. These programs will be free and open to the public to tune into via our social media channels.
  2. The continuance of the Emergency Arts Relief Grant that allows for artists with cancelled artistic opportunities to apply for grants of up to $250.
