Community Arts Of Elmira
Call for The Fusion Arts COLLECTIVE – Fall 2022
The Fusion Arts COLLECTIVE – 2022 art program welcomes Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC individuals) in Elmira and the surrounding area to investigate the Elmira urban landscape through photography and glass fusing, exploring multiple themes, including connection and identity.
The art program is free, all materials are included, and limited to eight students, ages seventeen and older. This multi-layered arts experience includes classes at Community Arts of Elmira with Field Trips to The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass, and a culminating art exhibition at Community Arts of Elmira.
Opportunity for professional networking and development, future scholarship, and program leadership are available. No experience in the arts is necessary. Individuals who have an interest in group learning and can maintain consistent attendance over eleven weeks should apply because the work is cumulative.
Classes: Tuesdays, September 6 – November 15, 2022, 6:00-8:00pm. Exhibition Opening Celebration: November 18, 2022, 6-8pm.
Deadline to apply: Applications are accepted until the class is full.
