Students in grades 5-12 are invited to submit music composition drafts and ideas to be explored and developed during the Composition Workshop. Four to eight student works will be selected as examples for further development with professional musicians playing the student compositions. The workshop is free and open to all ages to attend, observe, learn and ask questions.
Workshop compositions may be arranged for the following instruments: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, bass, piano and voice. Duets, trios, and quartets are preferred. (For example, string quartet, woodwind trio, solo instrument with piano, etc.)
