Along with our Summer Learning Program, the Dormann has its usual slate of activities available this
summer.
Free summer lunch for kids 18 and under, served 11:30-12:30, begins Wednesday, July 5 and runs
through August 11.
Create connections and learn what kinds of services are available to you at our One Community, Many
Services Fair on Thursday, July 20 from 10-4:00pm. More than twenty representatives from local
organizations will be on hand to share information about available resources and providers in our area.
Get your craft on at the Dormann! Teens and adults can join us for ceramic painting on July 13 and a lighted
garland class on July 27. A bird feeder class will be held for youth ages 5-12 on July 18, and ages 5-18 are
invited to make a no-sew blanket on July 19. All classes begin at 1:00pm. Adults are also invited to a mixed
media painting class at 6:00pm on July 3. Please register online at https://dormannlibrary.org/programming/.
Miss Kathleen holds a fun and educational Discovery Kids Storytime on Thursdays at 2pm and Fridays at
10:30am. Join her for music, movement, stories, songs, crafts and a snack! Also for preschoolers, the Science
and Discovery Center will be at the Dormann on July 18 at 1:30pm.
Our needlework classes continue in July. Intro to Your Sewing Machine is offered on July 11 and a Hobo Bag
sewing class will be held on July 25. Choose to attend 1-3:00 or 6-8:00, or both!
The “Shelf Indulgence” Book Club meets to discuss Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby VanPelt on July 26 at
6:00pm. Books or e-books can be borrowed from the library.
The Red Cross will be on site to hold a blood drive on July 5, from 11:30-4:30. Sign up at redcrossblood.org to
donate.
Rent a table or just come browse at our Second Chances Rummage sale on Saturday, July 15, 9:00am until
2:00pm. Call the library for more information.
As always, our Grab and Go spice club and craft kits will be available while supplies last.
