The Dormann Library

Stop in the Dormann Library on Thursday, February 17 to pick up a Grab & Go Craft Kit for teens (13+) and adults. You will receive supplies and instructions to make a bird out of yarn. One per person please while supplies last.

Speaking of teens, the Dormann Library needs your input for teen programming and purchases. The Teen Advisory Group or TAG will meet monthly to talk about what we can and should do at the library for our local tweens and teens. As part of our meeting, there will be a special activity/craft for members only. This group is open to those 12 and up. It can also count towards volunteer time for school.

Our first meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 19 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the library. We will be finalizing what gaming system we will be purchasing and ordering a whole bunch of manga! For our special activity, we will have the button maker out and be making pronoun buttons for the library. As part of the TAG group you can make your own buttons (pronouns or other designs) to keep. Let Tara know if you will be coming by calling her at 607-776-4613 or by stopping in the library.

While you are here for the TAG meeting, stay for the Movie Matinee that will be starting at 1:00pm. We will be showing the Angry Birds movie (PG/97minutes) on Saturday, February 19 and offering free popcorn. This is open to all ages (not just teens). Let’s find out what we need to do to make those birds happy!

Teens (13+) and adults can stop in at the Dormann Library starting on Thursday, February 17 to pick up a Grab & Go craft kit to make a yarn bird while supplies last. One per person please!
