Designed for beginning and continuing students, class will cover basic techniques, materials, color theory, color mixing, brush handling, and discussion of different types of watercolor paper. Students will work on guided exercises and individual projects from both life and photographs. This class is flexible and ideal for students of all abilities and experience levels.
Unlike in person classes at 171, this online course requires students to obtain their own supplies.
- Supplies required for students to purchase:
- Simple set of primary watercolor paints: yellow, blue, red
- Set of 3 brushes: Medium round, small round, flat
- 90 or 120 lb. watercolor paper
- Drawing pencil HB, 2H
- Drawing eraser
- Palette
- Jar of water
