This week’s project is Geometric Printmaking. Inspired by the geometric colors, lines and patterns of Helen Hardin’s artwork in The Rockwell Museum’s collection, create your own printed artwork. Carve shapes and designs into a piece of foam and transfer your image with brightly colored inks to paper. Add another layer of painted shapes with special hand-carved stamps inspired by design elements in Hardin’s art. Have fun playing with layers of paint in this exploration of color and geometry.
