Laurel Shaut’s production of The Nutcracker is an abridged version of the classical story ballet with original choreography by Laurel Shaut herself, set to Tchaikovsky’s original score. The choreography is entirely ballet and reminiscent of classical/neo-classical ballet.
While the typical version of The Nutcracker performed by professional companies is approximately one and a half hours long, this version is shortened to one hour.
