Apple Festival will be held 10 AM-5 PM on Saturday Oct. 7 and Sunday Oct. 8. Come enjoy the many demonstrations of heritage skills, the live music, craft vendors, local history display, live historic portrayals, charming gift shop, horse & wagon rides, and kids’ activities. Delicious food includes barbecued beef, pork, and chicken, a cauldron of vegetable soup, salt potatoes, cider, and many apple desserts.
The Apple Dessert Contest judging is at 11:00 on Saturday. Entries are due Saturday at 10:00. See details at nvhistory.org. Register by Oct. 4: Ruth (607) 321-1122.
This year we’re having a Carved Pumpkin Contest, open to all ages. Drop off by the Bement-Billings House fence on Friday, Oct. 6, between 5-6 PM. People’s Choice Judging ends at 3 PM Sunday. See the poster for details: nvhistory.org.
