Rebecca Chappell (MFA 2008) will be a visiting artist in the School of Art and Design on Tuesday, October 24. She will be demonstrating her pottery skills and techniques in the ceramic studios located on the 1st floor of Harder Hall from 1-4pm, and that evening will give an artist lecture at 4:30pm in Binns Merrill Hall, room 106.
Chappell’s visit coincides with the Cohen Gallery exhibition Alumni Invitational Pottery Sale where her work will be on display October 19 – December 3. Chappell received her MFA from the NYSCC at Alfred University in 2008, and her BFA from The Cleveland Institute of Art in 2003. Chappell has participated in solo and group exhibitions across the US. She currently teaches at The Maryland Institute of Art. Rebecca lives and maintains a studio in Philadelphia, PA.
