Finger Lakes Boating Museum
Before the Erie Canal, Southern Tier farmers built arks of rafts to float their produce
down the rivers to the Chesapeake Bay to sell their goods.
Join us on Thursday, October 17th at 7:00 P.M. at the Museum, 8231 Pleasant
Valley Road. Kirk House, Director of the Steuben County Historical Society will talk
about the days when farmers had to use rivers as highways.
There is no admission fee for this lecture. Donations are appreciated. Reservations
