Twain Country Tours Summer Tours are Back!
After two years of a COVID hiatus, the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce will be restarting their Twain Country Summer Tours! This program, which is run as a joint effort between the City of Elmira, Chemung County, the Chemung Historical Society, Terp’s Enterprises, and the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce, began running again on July 21. Twain Country tours are a great way to get to know the area and learn more about our history.
From the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce’s press release, “Guided tours aboard an air-conditions bus will depart on the hour from 10am to 2pm on Thursdays through Saturdays from July 21 through August 27. Riders may board from the lobby of the Chemung Valley History Museum, located at 415 East Water Street in Elmira. Reservations are not required, and can be made by calling 607-734-4167”.
