Instructor: Daniel Roemmelt
All supplies will be provided. Longtime local resident and 39 year art educator, Daniel Roemmelt, will teach you everything you need to know to start making masterful portraits. Course includes choosing a style from Representational to Abstract, working from a photograph, materials recommendations, exploring creative color choices, and expressive brushwork.
All skill levels are welcome.
Viewing Daniel’s Facing the Future exhibit in the 171 Cedar Arts Center Houghton Gallery will be a starting point on Wednesday evening. The gallery visit will be followed by introductions, developing a personal approach, introducing provided materials, and getting started. Thursday evening will begin with group feedback, providing a work plan, and the rest of the evening will be devoted to one on one interaction toward completing a finished oil portrait.
