#GivingARTSday 2019 is on December 3, 2019! Your support increases the breadth of exciting community activities, like the upcoming edition of The ARTS Council’s new programming initiative – the Schuyler County Performance Series. On February 13 from 6:30 – 8:00pm, Vani Akula will lead a series of traditional Indian Dances at the Been There Café in Montour Falls. This series reaches allows The ARTS Council to reach a new audience within our service region while supporting local Folk Arts traditions.
Vani Akula is a fine artist and dance instructor working in Chemung County. Her work with the area youth keeps traditional Indian Cultural Dance alive in the community.
The ARTS Council’s goal for #GivingARTSday 2019 is $500. Programs like Vani’s Cultural Dance Performance on February 13 have expenses such as:
- Building Rental Fees
- Fair Pay for Dancers
- Recording Equipment
- Promotional and Marketing Fees
