About FY24 NYSCA Fiscal Sponsorship
Thank you for your interest in having The ARTS Council be your Fiscal Sponsor for an FY2024 Support For Artists Grant or FY2024 Folk Arts Apprenticeship.
If you would like The ARTS Council to be your Fiscal Sponsor, please sign and return via email the following agreement:

Application Materials
The following materials must be submitted via email to The ARTS Council’s Grants Manager no later than the end of the day, Thursday, July 6, 2023:
Applicant Information – A separate Word Document found here; information also found in the grant guidelines
Application Packet – Narrative, Work Samples, Resume
In one, single PDF, the following must be provided in the following order:
- Application Narrative (10,000 characters, with spaces) – Please see the grant guidelines for narrative questions
- Work Samples – Please see the grant guidelines for the required materials
- Resume (1 Page)
Proof of NYS Residency
You must submit two different, current proof of residency documents that clearly show your name, home address, dated no earlier than July 13, 2021. These proof of residency documents will be held by The ARTS Council and not submitted to NYSCA unless requested. Please black out or redact any other personal information such as bank account numbers, SSNs, etc. The following are eligible items:
- Telephone or home utility bill
- Credit card and/or bank statement (name and address page only; financial and account information should be redacted)
- NYS or Federal Tax form (first page only; social security and financial information should be redacted)
- Current lease or mortgage agreement listing the artist’s name and showing a NYS address
- NY State Driver’s license or NY State ID card
- Voter’s Registration Card
Narrative Draft Review
The ARTS Council highly encourages all applicants to receive feedback on their application before submitting. When requesting narrative feedback, it must be sent via email using one of the following documents:

Work Samples should also be sent via email at the same as the draft review form is emailed.
