Priscilla Dewey-Houghton Philanthropy Award

Given at the discretion of The ARTS Council's Board of Directors, the award was established in 2013 to honor the memory of long time board member, Priscilla Dewey-Houghton. Priscilla was the embodiment of a true artist and friend of the arts. She was an artist in her own right, as a noted playwright, lyricist, and poet, but she was also a passionate advocate for the arts; volunteering her not only her time, but also her support through philanthropy for arts organizations, including The ARTS Council.

This award will honor individuals who not only roll up their sleeves in service to arts organizations, but also recognize the essential role private philanthropy plays in growing and sustaining our regional arts and cultural life.
