Call for Artists

The Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery at The ARTS Council announces a call for artists for The Eclipse Show.

For nearly 3 minutes on the afternoon of April 8, 2024, day will become night as the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, shrouding our world in darkness. With the Finger Lakes directly in the path of totality, hundreds of thousands of visitors will descend upon our region to celebrate this once in a lifetime solar eclipse experience.

The ARTS Council invites artists from the Southern Finger Lakes and beyond to explore a variety of responses to the eclipse. We welcome both smaller pieces and larger installations that creatively utilize the gallery space. All mediums are eligible, however, work must be centered around the theme of the show.

This juried show will coincide with a number of activities and events happening in and around the Southern Finger Lakes.
