The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes is pleased to present IMAGINE! Public Art in the Plaza – a multidisciplinary arts event, which envisions the Corning Civic Center Plaza as a future Public Arts Park. IMAGINE! will be held at the Corning Civic Center Plaza on Thursday, September 2 through Sunday, September 5, 2021. Free and open to the public. Schedule of Events
Local artists, street performers/buskers, temporary art installations, as well as dynamic open-air theatre, music and dance performances will fill Corning’s Civic Center Plaza and covered ice rink with art! American Dance Asylum, Cantata Singers, Community Arts of Elmira/Elmira Infinite Canvas, Corning Museum of Glass, Elmira Little Theatre, the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, Elmira Infinite Canvas, The Rockwell Museum, Shakespeare Without Walls, and Southeast Steuben County Library are just a few of the organizations transforming the Corning Civic Plaza! Tips and donations will be accepted and are encouraged.

Guidelines:
- Bring your own chair or blanket.
- Picnics welcome.
- No food will be provided on site but is available from surrounding restaurants.
- No glass please.
- Pack out trash as much as possible.
- No smoking or vaping.
- Mask strongly encouraged for all and required for the unvaccinated.
Parking:
- Parking for the event will be available next to Fallbrook Park.
- Behind the Southeast Steuben County Library.
- And at other City of Corning municipal parking lots.
- Free parking is available in the Centerway Parking Garage and municipal parking lots after 5pm on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
- Please do not park in privately owned business lots including the parking lot owned by the Radisson Hotel.

ART Lifts Us Up!
Come see ART LIFTS US UP! A Community of Kites at Corning Civic Center Plaza. The installation features nearly 40 handmade kites by our community with messages of hope to help us rise up from the Covid crisis. This installation will be anchored by 6 artist kites from Bridget Bossart van Otterloo, Shannah Warwick, Filomena Jack, Jharmi “Cuba” Leach, GC Myers, and SatyaVani Pippalla Akula.
