National Youth Art Month A month of celebration, awareness, and advocacy for art in our schools and excellent art education for our youth!
Celebration Each March, the bright colors and eclectic designs of student artwork transform businesses and organizations throughout Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and the edge of Tioga counties into exhibit spaces! These exhibits ignite curiosity and creativity and spur the celebration of student artists!
Awareness The impact of creative exploration and expression on human beings throughout our lives and development is immeasurable. It is absolutely imperative that basic eduction include opportunities for creative growth and expression. Let National Youth Art Month be a catalyst for you to explore the imperative roll that arts & creativity play throughout our lives – from cognitive development in early childhood to cognitive stimulation in our elder years.
Advocacy Encourage art exploration! Develop strategies for life-long arts learning, and be an advocate of art education in our schools!
The ARTS Council thanks the sponsors of our 2016 National Youth Art Month student art in community venues: Abeel Bovee Community Foundation Trust, and The Community Foundation of Elmira, Corning, and the Finger Lakes!
