from Neil Folnsbee, National Youth Art Month Contact for Corning Credit Union
The National Youth Art Month Reception at Corning Credit Union’s Horseheads Branch on Tuesday, March 10 was a very successful event enjoyed by students, families, and educators alike. This branch featured artwork by Horseheads Intermediate School students taught by Mr. Chris Bell. One of the most exciting aspects of the reception was to see the children enter our facility and rush to locate their masterpieces. Parents encouraged their young artists to pose for a photograph with their exhibited art. Most students also then roamed the exhibit to find artwork created by their closest friends. The sense of pride that each of these children and their art teacher conveyed provided a contagiously joyous environment for all present. National Youth Art Month is a wondrous and valuable program. We appreciate the opportunity to be able to participate in this community-focused annual project!
