Hello! My name is Susan Comstock and clay sculpture is my focus. I am inspired by natural materials which I often use in my work. I am a believer in the philosophy that art helps people heal -as does spending time with the earth. My background includes teaching art and working with at risk youth who, I have observed, become noticeably calmer when handed a lump of clay.. as do I. I am honored toe be a member of this arts community.

Over the years I have created in just about every medium out there. While I love painting in oil and acrylic, writing has remained my main area of focus. I have written two novels and a children's picture book. For the last several years I've been concentrating on screenwriting. I'm hoping that during 2020 the animated script I've written from a producer's idea will come to the screen. Since there's a lot of serendipity in play when it comes to getting a movie made, my fingers are crossed for my other scripts to get produced, too. Stay tuned!

As a native of Corning, New York, Tom Tunnicliff spent his youth wandering the beautiful rolling hills of the Allegheny Plateau. With a life-long exposure to the vibrant colors of Nature's canvas brought on by the Southern Tier's distinct seasons. Tom's appreciation of beauty formed during his early years. Despite his strong connection to the area, he strapped on boots and toured the world as a United States Marine. His exposure to new environments  and culture encouraged him to pursue a more flexible art program at the State University of New York at Potsdam. The emphasis in studio art allowed him to concerntrate in Sculpture and Painting and excel as an art student achieving a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Studio Arts.

Art to me is as essential as breathing. I painted part time as a Molecular Biologist and Software Engineer, till I renounced those titles to being a full time artist. In my paintings, I transpose the joy I experience from simple things in life. Play of light on objects, my love of dance, people and my reminiscences on life.
