Barbara Hall Blumer(pronounced Bloomer) (born 1955, USA) lives in Corning, New York in the Finger Lakes region of western New York state.
She is a fine arts oil painter (and B&W art photographer), currently on sabbatical. She maintained a studio and gallery in Corning, on historic Market Street, for the last 7 years but is taking time off to travel and create a new body of work.
Her paintings are done mostly in oils, and are colorful interpretations of her view of the world and relationships. These are available here at the ARTS gallery or directly from the artist.
Her black and white photographs are storytelling opportunities. They are observations of people and nature which make you think twice and look closer. These are available for mostly public venues, please inquire.
She has an Art History degree from Brown University, and a prior business career, including Dansk Designs, Corning Incorporated and Two Sisters Studio jewelry. She began seriously studying painting and photography in the 90’s and had her first exhibit in 2003.
