As a native of Corning, New York, Tom Tunnicliff spent his youth wandering the beautiful rolling hills of the Allegheny Plateau. With a life-long exposure to the vibrant colors of Nature’s canvas brought on by the Southern Tier’s distinct seasons. Tom’s appreciation of beauty formed during his early years. Despite his strong connection to the area, he strapped on boots and toured the world as a United States Marine. His exposure to new environments and culture encouraged him to pursue a more flexible art program at the State University of New York at Potsdam. The emphasis in studio art allowed him to concerntrate in Sculpture and Painting and excel as an art student achieving a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Studio Arts.
