Twelve local artists sponsored by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) received significant grant funding from a new State program designed to help the arts community recover from the impact of COVID.
The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature provided funding for the arts in two areas: Support for Artists Grants, and Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeships. These grants fulfill a vital mission of The ARTS Council to empower artists, foster creativity and economic vitality, create diverse connections and collaborations, and champion innovation and equity with the arts to cultivate a dynamic community.
